Motivated and Empowered Inc. Hosts Initial Press Conference on “Save Our Children – Prevention Initiative”
Calls for Urgent County Action as Leadership Absence Raises Concern
CLEVELAND, OH — Motivated and Empowered Inc. (ME Inc.), a leading youth and family advocacy organization, held its first press conference to address the urgent need for prevention-focused solutions following recent tragedies impacting children in Cuyahoga County.
The press conference, centered around the launch of the “Save Our Children – Prevention Initiative,” highlighted a growing crisis facing families, particularly those navigating overwhelming stress without access to early intervention supports.
While the organization extended invitations to county and city leadership, no elected county or municipal leaders were present at the press conference. A limited number of community-based organization leaders attended in support of the initiative.
“This is not about blame — this is about responsibility,” said Bianca Crawford, Founder and Executive Director of Motivated and Empowered Inc. “Our children cannot wait for systems to catch up. Prevention must become the priority, not the afterthought.”
During the press conference, ME Inc. outlined the urgent need for county partnership and investment in prevention strategies, including the development of a Family Stabilization Crisis Center — a community-based solution designed to provide immediate relief, support, and intervention for families in crisis before situations escalate.
The organization also announced that it has received a formal letter of support from State Representative Darnell Brewer, signaling growing recognition at the state level for the importance of proactive, prevention-based solutions.
“This initiative is about building a system that responds before tragedy,” Crawford added. “Families need support, not silence.”
As a next step, Motivated and Empowered Inc. is convening stakeholders, community members, and leaders for its first action-focused planning session:
All City Prevention Meeting
April 13, 2026 | 2:00 PM
(Location details forthcoming)
This meeting will serve as a critical opportunity to begin developing a coordinated, cross-sector response to strengthen family support systems, address systemic gaps, and implement sustainable prevention strategies across Cuyahoga County.
Motivated and Empowered Inc. is calling on county officials, city leaders, community organizations, and residents to join this effort and take an active role in shaping solutions that protect children and support families.
“Prevention is not optional — it is necessary,” said Crawford. “We are moving forward with or without systems, but we are inviting them to stand with us.”
