Transformational Program to Serve Teen Mothers, Foster Youth, and At-Risk Children in Cuyahoga County

CLEVELAND, OH (June 2025) — Motivated and Empowered Inc., a dynamic force in youth and family advocacy, is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking “A Home for Me” Housing Initiative, designed to provide transitional housing, respite care, and comprehensive wraparound support for some of the region’s most vulnerable populations. This major step forward is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Delta Dental of Ohio, whose investment underscores a deep commitment to health equity, housing stability, and community well-being.

“A Home for Me” will offer a lifeline to:

• Youth aging out of foster care, often left without housing or guidance as they transition to adulthood.

• Teen mothers, many of whom face homelessness, lack of support, or trauma as they attempt to raise children while rebuilding their own lives.

• Youth in need of short-term, emergency respite care, offering a safe alternative to juvenile detention or temporary removal by child welfare services.

“Delta Dental’s sponsorship is more than funding — it’s a vote of confidence in the power of prevention, care, and long-term change,” said Bianca Crawford, Founder and Executive Director of Motivated and Empowered Inc. “By addressing the social determinants of health, particularly housing and access to care, we are creating a pathway to stability that breaks generational cycles of poverty, trauma, and system involvement.”

The Vision: Housing Meets Holistic Support

The “A Home for Me” facility — whose location will be announced later this summer — will include:

• Dormitory-style housing units for teen moms and youth transitioning from foster care

• On-site childcare and parenting classes

• Respite beds for youth in crisis, serving as an early intervention before deeper system involvement

• Access to education, career training, and mental health care

• Financial literacy, mentoring, and life skills programs

This initiative directly aligns with Delta Dental’s Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) priorities, including housing, access to care, and education. It positions Motivated and Empowered Inc. as a leader in community-based solutions to youth homelessness, recidivism, and family separation.
